Much to Louis' Chagrin...

....after tonight's victory, the Sixers currently are holding down the eastern conference's final playoff spot. And by point differential, they're the sixth best team in the conference (these are per game, rather than per possession numbers, but good enough for this post). Granted, I think the Cavaliers' point differential is artificially low because of the games that Lebron missed with injury, but it still speaks well to the Sixers chances to make the playoffs.

That makes me happy, even if it doesn't make anyone other Sixers fan happy.

As stated previously, if I thought the 76ers could make it out of the first round of the playoffs I would be excited. But I don't.

Now they are in the gray area where even if they don't make the playoffs they probably won't get a high draft choice. So, unless they hit a wall and loose 30 of their next games, they might as well make the playoffs and hope to use that small success to draw some decent free-agent help.

Best sixers backcourt: AI&Larry Hughes

AI and Larry Hughes were fun to watch and hard to contain but there were not enough basketballs to go around and there was no post presence to compliment them.

The 76ers have now won 10 of their last 13 games and I have to admit that they are not likely to get a high lottery pick. Bearing that in mind, and since I'm happy for them to win and to show themselves as tempting location for a free-agent.

Go Sixers.
